Product Description New Fantasy Novel/Tanglewood Forest
Mixing magic and mirth with some scenes of a darker nature, Tanglewood Forest rolls into one novel all of the things that keep us going back to the book store for certain types of fantasy, and combines them into a fast paced modern day adventure. Tanglewood Forest is a tale of two young boys lost within an enchanted ‘triangle’ deep in the Vermont wilds. In their efforts to return to their parents they encounter witches and werewolves, an irascible spider that just won’t quit, and a host of other creatures. Written in a manner to appeal to all ages, it has moments of humor and horror. Fast paced and with a plot not so complicated as to leave younger readers confounded, but with twists enough to satisfy the more mature reader. Tanglewood Forest is a sometimes ‘tongue in cheek’ story of the tales that sent us to bed as children with our heads under the covers, but at times throws light on why we put our heads under the covers. Culminating in a frantic middle of the night chase and a spectacular magical battle, Tanglewood Forest will enthrall and captivate younger and older readers alike.
Tanglewood Forest differs from other books in the fantasy genre; it is purposely directed to appeal to the very broadest of age groups. With scenes enough ,of horror and humor to engross younger readers, yet not so bloody, or horrific as to be disturbing. However, there are enough undertones of a more sinister nature to hook the more mature among us. Humor for all to giggle at, but also hints at repartee, which will soar over the heads of the less worldly-wise. With excitement and adventure to stimulate the child in us all, and enough adult innuendo to keep the grown-ups looking for more.
With a sequel already well under way, and plans for two more already laid, Tanglewood Forest contains everything a book should have to first ‘hook’ the reader, and then hold them to the very last page.
