I have the original 45 for the song Ramaya. When I play it for friends, they usually laugh and say "Where the heck did you get THAT?" After the joking around is done, they find themselves humming the song later. It's a catchy tune. I can't believe they've released it on CD. If they ever come out with it, I will surely buy it. Listen to it once and you will be HOOKED! If you remember the fun you had with the popular old Herman's Hermits numbers, you'll love Afric Simone on Ramaya. It's pure fun!

The album Ramaya is one of the most dynamic assortments of pop I have ever heard. I wish it was still around. Songs like Kurare are unfortunately lost forever now. Hafanana remains one of my all time favorites...I introduced some of me friends to it recently (circa summer 1999) and it quickly became a theme song. There is a pure, positive aura about Afric Simone that always uplifts and transcends language barriers!
