From the supplier: Community activist Al Eckert of Affton, MO, is being criticized for taking a consulting job with Casey Communications, the public relations firm for Schnuck Markets Inc. Before he agreed to work for the company, Eckert staged a very visible campaign against Schnuck Markets for acquiring and closing a grocery store, which community leaders felt was a necessary anchor for the neighborhood. Eckert said he accepted the position for the benefit of Affton after realizing that Schnuck would not give in to the community's demands.
