Best Version of Trivial Pursuit Ever!!! April 24, 2009 Marissa Freire (new haven, ct usa) Love this version because you can update all of your categories online. The questions are always changing so you actually save money in the long run not having to buy all the new editions. Also, there are no cards to use so its all compact and easy to use! Cant wait to get home tonight to play.
Cool, but not Mac Friendly January 30, 2009 ErinLynn (NY, NY) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My boyfriend and I are big trivia fans so I bought this for us, so far we really like it. The downside I'm not a fan of is that it's not Mac compatible! I'm a Mac girl, so that's annoying! Just make sure you have a PC on hand.
trivia pursuit failure January 23, 2009 Laura Lawson 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I ordered this thinking that it would be fun. I have no idea what is going on I thought I could download questions to it and that didn't work; so I guess I downloaded questions to my work computer that I will never be able to use. I am hoping that I can figure it out before it ends up in the back of the closet.
Finally - An Electronic Version Better than the Original Game! January 11, 2009 PMP Passer (MA United States) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Ever since the Jeapordy interactive game, I've been hesitant to buy the digital version of any game...but Trivial Pursuit Digital Choice has made me a believer again! This game is fantastic! It's basically the same Trivial Pursuit game, but instead of using a box of paper question cards, you have a small electronic screen that has all the questions. At the start of each game, you can pick your categories from a bunch of pre-programmed ones (or you can invent your own questions!). Once you pick the question, you decide which question categories will be used for each color. So you could have the "Legends & Unsolved Mysteries" category be orange this game, and blue the next. The digital question console is battery powered and lighted, and it's really easy to read. It also hides the answer, so if you need to show the actual question to the guesser, they can't see the answer. Lastly, the console plugs into your computer with an included usb cable and there's some software that you install that lets you add/remove questions from it. If you have some free time, you can create your own categories and questions. We collected trivia questions from our family and we now have a "Family Trivia" category that has questions about all our family members ("What year was Sophie married?", "What color eyes does Grampa have?", "What was Aunt Sara's maiden name?", etc...) It really makes the game a whole lot more fun. I 100% recommend this. Some other things to note: - it's not clear from the description, but this DOES come with a normal trivial pursuit board, game pieces and pie wedges. The only difference is that there aren't any printed questions (all the questions come from the digital console). - read all the instructions to figure out the console. It's easy to use once you know what the buttons do, but if you just "open and use" without reading the instructions, you might get confused.
A fun addition to our home January 10, 2009 Thomas J. Larson (Omaha) This new TP gaming system is a great way to avoid buying new box sets of TP games for excessive amounts of $$$. I love the feature that allows you to download new questions off the internet. I was able to download 6 different Kids Categories that allow my young children to play. Not only that, but as a movie and sports buff, I was able to download those categories as well. A great buy, and since I got it on Amazon for under $20, it was literally a steal.
